Position Summary
Briefly describe the
nature of the intern's work

Our graphic design intern will bring effective visual ideas from concept to completion with the guidance of Chamber marketing staff. The intern will design various marketing materials including but not limited to: ads, infographics, article and magazine layouts, event programs and more. Interns may also assist with editing photos, writing simple copy, supporting day to day activities within the marketing department and other varied assignments. Scheduling/hours: 20 hours/week through Summer 2020. We’ll work with individual to set a weekly schedule. Position may extend if a strong fit for both parties.

DESCRIPTION

Duties & Responsibilities

  • assist with editing photos, writing simple copy, supporting day to day activities within the marketing department

Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent design eye
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • A detail- and deadline-oriented work style
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects in a given time frame with minimal oversight
  • It’s a plus if you have experience with:
  • Strategic use of social media
  • Writing and editing
  • Video editing/production
  • Podcast editing/production
