1. WTCI offers internships year-round. Internship term is based on the academic calendar of the student’s school. 2. This is an unpaid internship. Students must be earning academic credit as determined by the school. 3. Intern positions available in the following areas: production, development, membership, marketing, public relations and community engagement. Note: Not all positions are available every academic term.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Fundraising abilities
• Data management systems
• Working on our live evening pledges
• Working closely with the Donor Services Manager
• Drafting letters
• Working on Constant Contact Newsletters
• Working on various reports

• A student must be registered as a sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student in good standing at a participating college or university. The registration must apply for the full duration of the internship.

Marianne Monoc serves as the primary contact for all internships. Her contact information is listed below in my signature line. Cynthia Wilson is no longer with the station. "We are still accepting interns on a very limited basis. We recently received funding through the TN Cares Act to expand our remote learning capabilities and will be adding a 4th channel to our line-up, alongside our main PBS channel, Create, and PBS Kids. The new channel will begin broadcasting before the end of the year, but we will be actively creating content for it beginning in January, in close collaboration with Hamilton County Schools, Tyner, and other entities. I'm sure we'll have various internships available in the spring. Students should begin the application process by contacting me directly. I can then route requests to the correct staff person.
