Psi Chi: The Psychology Honor Society

Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in Psychology. The Lee University chapter provides you with the opportunity to join Psi Chi if you meet certain standards required by Psi Chi and the Association of College Honor Societies.

Membership in Psi Chi is an earned honor which is for life. A permanent record of your membership is preserved at the Psi Chi National Office and may be used for reference purposes such as applications for graduate school and jobs. The one-time Psi Chi membership fee is $65.

A quarterly Psi Chi magazine, Eye on Psi Chi, is sent to each chapter for distribution to the members while they are in school. The names of new members and activities of chapters ate published in Eye on Psi Chi and preserved for historical purposes. Psi Chi members are eligible to wear the Psi Chi honor cord, medallion, pins, emblems, etc. which can be purchased through the school chapter.


  1. Completion of at least 3 semesters of college coursework.
  2. Completion of at least 12 semester hours of psychology courses.
  3. Official standing as a major in psychology.
  4. An overall cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  5. Demonstrated superior scholarship in psychology, earning a minimum GPA in psychology courses of 3.3

Students who meet these requirements are invited to apply for membership in Psi Chi. Induction ceremonies are held once each semester. Applications are available in the BSS offices or contact a faculty member.

Phi Delta Psi: The Psychology Club

The Psychology Club, Phi Delta Psi, is an academic club that promotes fellowship among psychology majors and offers extracurricular activities related to psychology.

Club activities include special speakers, field trips, seminars, and fellowship functions. Membership is open to all interested students
