Thomas J. Doolittle is Professor of Pastoral Ministries and the Chair of the Department of Christian Ministries at Lee University. He joined the Lee University faculty in August, 2003 after serving in pastoral ministry for 24 years. He received his Ph.D. in Church and Community in 1996 from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He is an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God. Tom earned a B.A. from Lee University (1977), a M.A. (1978) and a M.Div. (1978) from the Church of God Theological Seminary. He is an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God.
His wife Amy has a Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Louisville and teaches in the Social Work Department at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. They married in 1979 and have three daughters: Heather who is married to Josh, Hilary who is married to Jonathan, and Bethany, age 8, who they adopted in 2011. Tom’s favorite hobbies are family, theater, reading, hiking and fly fishing.
