{"id":56,"date":"2022-01-13T20:27:27","date_gmt":"2022-01-13T20:27:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leeuwebpages.wpengine.com\/breichenbach\/?page_id=56"},"modified":"2022-04-08T03:16:04","modified_gmt":"2022-04-08T03:16:04","slug":"studio-values","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/webpages.leeu.edu\/breichenbach\/studio-values\/","title":{"rendered":"Studio Values"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Deliberate\nPractice that Forms Good Habits<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Developing productive practice habits is one of the most important goals of this studio.\u00a0 I strive to pass on not only <em>what <\/em>to practice but <em>how <\/em>to practice.\u00a0 In lessons, I will often model and ask you to repeat evidence-based practice methods.\u00a0 Your job is simply to engage with these practices on a daily basis throughout the week.\u00a0 You cannot simply ascent to being a better trumpet player!\u00a0 Our job is to practice deliberately in such a way that goodness becomes our habit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Persistent, Curious\nProblem Solving<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some things I\nsuggest will not work immediately, but give them time.&nbsp; And some concepts or practices will click for\nyou and others will not.&nbsp; That\u2019s\nokay.&nbsp; I enjoy problem solving alongside\nyou.&nbsp; Seek out solutions from multiple\nangles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Growth-Mindset\nEnvironment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is essential\nthat we remain positive towards the future of our playing and those around us.&nbsp; Together, we will seek to do away with condescending\ntalk about our own playing or that of others.&nbsp;\nI seek to use both specific critique in balance with honest praise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Balanced Musical\nDiet<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trumpet playing\nrequires a variety of skills in order to develop and maintain the technical and\nmusical aspects of our playing. To that end, your practice should reflect this\nvariety.
