Sydney Brown Allie Grace Kinard grew up in Charleston, SC where she was highly involved in the drama programs in her church and school. She is a freshman at Lee, majoring in psychology and counseling. For years she knew that Lee was the place God had called her. After attending Summer Honors, it was as clear that Lee was where she wanted to attend. Allie Grace loves talking, music, acting, dance parties, and having insightful conversations. After graduation, she hopes to counsel foster and adoptive families.
Sydney Brown Grace Cooper is a freshman, majoring in Pastoral Ministries with a double minor in Business and Theology. She is from Largo, FL, where she grew up doing drama ministry in her church youth ministry. Grace heard about Lee through Teen Talent and family friends. She received runner-up at the Church of God International Teen Talent in the monologue category in 2019. Grace played keyboard for her youth group worship band for 3 years, and is passionate about worship ministry. She loves shopping, getting coffee with friends, acting, and reading her Bible. Grace plans on being in full-time ministry, preaching and discipling youth to be more like Christ and make an impact.
Sydney Brown Carissa Leonhardt is a senior that has lived in numerous states but now calls Fort Mill, SC home. Lee University has been her dream school for as long as she can remember. Carissa was a part of her church drama team all throughout high school, and she enjoys singing, spending time with her family and friends, and acting. Carissa is an Education major with a Spanish minor, and plans on teaching after she graduates.
Sydney Brown Emily Dawson is a junior, majoring in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Spanish. She has grown up in a pastor’s home and has always known about Lee. She grew up doing drama in church and theatre throughout high school. She won first place at the Church of God International Teen Talent in the Monologue category in 2017. Emily loves reading, acting, and spending time with family and friends. She plans on pursuing a career in teaching where she can teach internationally.
Carissa Leonhardt Sydney Musgrove is a sophomore, majoring in Communications with an emphasis in Advertising. She grew up in Birmingham, AL, participating in drama and theatre throughout middle and high school. Syd competed in the Church of God International Teen Talent competition where she met Michael and the team. Syd loves Mexican food, sports, photography, and traveling.
Carissa Leonhardt Matthew Calkins is a junior, majoring in Pastoral Ministry. He was born and raised in Rock Hill, SC, where he grew up around the church. Matthew heard about Lee University through his friends, and since then he desired to attend. He got his call to the ministry in March of 2018 and began pursuing opportunities to minister at school and church. Playing numerous instruments in high school and in church, Matthew loves music. However his dream is to be a pastor, to preach and teach. Matthew is honored to have the opportunity to minister with Kingdom Players.
Carissa Leonhardt Jackson Rader hails from Maryville, Tennessee and is a junior, Advertising major. He first came to Lee with his big sister Hannah on Lee Day. He later attended the Summer Honors program at Lee in both 2017 and 2018. After his first summer honors experience, he knew Lee was the place for him. He caught the acting bug in middle school and has performed in 17 shows since. He loves spending time with his four sisters, watching Disney movies, going to Broadway shows, and playing his guitar. While he’s still considering his career goals, he hopes to always share the love of Christ and use his passion for the stage in some capacity.
Carissa Leonhardt Owen Nobles is a senior, majoring in Pastoral Ministry. He was born and raised in south Alabama, and now calls Bay Minette, Alabama home. Owen’s father is a Lee alum, so the decision to come to Lee was an easy one to make. Owen did musicals and plays in downtown Mobile for most of his childhood. After visiting Lee and watching Kingdom Players he was so excited to see what all God would have in store, here at Lee. Owen plans to graduate and work in full time ministry wherever the Lord may lead him.
Carissa Leonhardt Clay Smith is a junior from Rock Hill, SC majoring in Music and Worship. Clay was introduced to Lee University by friends and felt impressed to attend upon his first visit to the campus. He felt God’s call to join the ministry as a worship evangelist and now chases every opportunity to lead worship, and use his passion to sing and play guitar to glorify the Lord and reach others. Clay has been performing in theatre all his life, eventually being nominated for Best Supporting Actor in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards. He is excited to be able to now use his theatre experience to proclaim the message of Christ.
Carissa Leonhardt Michael DelBonis is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, and came to Lee as a student in 2001. He graduated in 2004 with a degree in Business, with hopes of moving to New York to pursue an acting career. He was accepted to acting school in New York, but felt the call to ministry, and received his Masters in Youth and Family Ministry from Lee in 2008. Michael worked in full time youth ministry for almost five years before becoming the director of Kingdom Players in July of 2013. In addition to Kingdom Players, Michael helps with recruiting events for Lee, teaches a few classes on campus, and is an adjunct faculty member for Lee’s online program. He met his wife, Katie, at Lee, who now works at a local high school. They have two kids, Lucy and Jonah.
